Duplicate bank account findings
LedgerWatch also watches for more than one contact sharing the same bank account details, within a single organisation or across every organisation you've connected.
Why it matters
Sometimes this is entirely legitimate, such as related companies, franchises, or factoring arrangements that route several suppliers' payments through one account. But it's also a pattern seen in fraud, where several supplier records are quietly redirected to the same account over time. It's worth a second look, especially when a supplier is involved.
What you'll see
You'll see the full account value (unlike alert emails, which mask it), along with which contacts share it, which organisation(s) they're in, and when the match was first and last seen.
Dismissing a finding
Once you've checked a finding and you're satisfied it's expected, dismiss it. Dismissed findings drop off the active list and stay dismissed on later scans. The record isn't deleted, but it also won't keep reappearing once you've already decided it's fine. If a genuinely different account starts being shared, that shows up as a new, separate finding.
